Early-stage startups are like cars

I’ do PhD-research on early-stage startups. I see startups as if they were a car. The function of a car is to get you from point A to point B. A car is composed of wheels, motors, axles and so on. They contribute to getting from point A to point B.

First, I want to understand what is the motor of a startup. How does it relate to the wheels of the startup? How do the wheels and axles contribute to the startup’s goal?

Secondly, I want to understand how the motors, axles and wheels of a car are created. What is the best order to make these components? What is the best order to assemble these components?

If we know the how of a venture, we can turn this into the best training for entrepreneurs. That’s what I’m ultimately after
